Taste of Brighton July 13, 2018

Growing up where I did in suburban Detroit, I didn’t have a lot of access to the quaint small town feel. You know the one: wandering down the street, inhaling the enticing smells from the restaurants and sidewalk cafes, window shopping at boutiques, and sincerely greeting everyone you passed. It may seem idealistic, but there is a place where you can still have all of that. You may be surprised to find that it exists in your own backyard (unless, of course, this small town is literally in your backyard). This place is downtown Brighton, Michigan.

For those not familiar with the area, Brighton’s downtown area is a destination for unique shopping, skilled artisans, outstanding dining, and engaging entertainment. Throughout the year, different events are held downtown, beckoning all to come and partake in the revelry afforded by this sweet hamlet. There is one such event, Taste of Brighton, coming up in just a few short weeks, on July 13th and 14th.

Don’t be fooled by the name. Taste of Brighton isn’t just an event to come and sample the offerings of the local eateries (although that is definitely a part of it); Taste of Brighton aims higher. Taste of Brighton is hosted so everyone can come and see ALL downtown Brighton has to offer: from the food and drink to entertainment and live music to my personal favorite: shopping.

To make the most of your Taste of Brighton experience, Main Street is closed to vehicle traffic during the event, which is open from 10am to 10pm on both Friday, July 13th and Saturday, July 14th. We close the road because there is so much to do, see, and taste, that we need Main Street to contain it all. In fact, many merchants, including Andre’s Fine Jewelers, Brighton’s premier custom jeweler, will be moving some of their business outside in the Sidewalk Sale.

Stroll on over and peruse the specially curated collection of jewelry put together for this event! We will be featuring the very popular line of interchangeable costume jewelry, Ginger Snaps. Andre’s Fine Jewelers is the only place in downtown Brighton where you can find genuine Ginger Snaps. We will be unveiling the new Fall/Holiday line at Taste of Brighton. With autumn, holidays, and back-to-school just around the corner (sorry, kids, but it’s true) just around the corner, there is no better time than now to start building your accessory wardrobe. We will also be displaying our collection of sterling silver, which is designed with the cutting-edge girl in mind. Our sterling collection allows you to balance your modern taste with your smart budget sensibilities. And inside the showroom, our jewelers will be hard at work, as they are every day, working to make jewelry dreams into realities.

There is one other note to mention about Taste of Brighton, and I must say, it’s my favorite. This year, yours truly will be there. This will be my first Taste of Brighton experience. I will be hanging out in front of Andre’s Fine Jewelers all day Friday and Saturday. I enjoy wearing jewelry, buying jewelry, talking about jewelry, writing about jewelry, and helping people pick out jewelry. I’d love to be part of the story you’re crafting in your jewelry box. Come, stop by and say “hi;” I’d love to meet you.

Until next time,

Rebecca
